2015 may go down as the Year of the Billiards Reality Show. Lots of shows in the works -- "Kings of Cue," "Ultimate Pool Sharks," "She Sharks" - maybe others.

It would be great to finally get one of these off the ground. But, history isn't on their side. Here's my review: Billiards Reality Shows Beware.

What do you think? Will any of these stick? Which ones are you excited about and which ones make you cringe?

I believe She Sharks has the best shot as they now seem to be concentrating more on sexy ladies than pool. That's a formula that has had lots of success over the ages.

If you like Street Outlaws and that format of a show than The Kings of Cue aka The Hustlers should gain some sort of following. Give them a fair shot. I think that one has the best chance and who knows maybe some regular AZ members are a part of that one.

I love street outlaws! I am hoping the pool show based on that format takes off!

Yup. The racing itself that is depicted in the show is probably less than 3 seconds for each race. Pool need the drama and personalities just like street outlaws. Hell, even a housewife of hustlers show could take off if done right...never under estimate the public's intelligence.

For those that are unfamiliar with street outlaws, it is essentially a top ten list of the fastest street cars. If you are challenged for your position, you must perform or simply lose the spot. Side betting is happening but from what's aired, only thousands at best. Pride makes each racer strive for the number one spot.

Pool could be much more interesting if the wager is larger and make it worldwide....meaning the Philippines and Asia. Really test the backers of their horses....pool all bets together and the pot could be huge. Isn't that why this game earned the moniker of "pool"?
