Yes, that is true. But from what I read in the reports SVB was clearly on his game pretty much throughout the race to 100, and Corey was not. It's not surprising then that Shane was able to maintain that advantage, as an average, to the end of the race. Even so, I suspect there were some stretches where Corey won 10 games before Shane did.
