i tried one of these the ther day and surprisingly i was happy. it has 2 shafts one 14mm with frog hyde tip for jump and one 13mm with leather tip for masse, jump curve etc? anyone else have good or bad things about it. i am offered one new for $50.

Sounds like a deal ...

to me, and pretty good one. Having the 2 shafts would be nice. I had one of the original 'Frogs' with brass ferrule and leather tip. I was pretty accurate with it, but needed to be about 5-6" away to get over a full ball. It was 46" long. I had a friend that bought one too, and cut it down to 40", and he could jump closer than I could then (before the tadpole came out).

I have not tried one since they have changed ferrules and tips, or tried the Tadpole, but I was more accurate with the Frog than any other Jump Cue I have (which are 2 more).

The first time using the Frog in a money match (or jumping for that matter with anything other than a full cue), I made 6 out 7 jump shots, and hit the object ball on the other try.

I picked up the new one, 14mm Phenolic like tip, with a 13mm lepro tip also.....jumps like a frog.....Can get over a ball at close range. The 13mm comes in handy in bars where you need a short cue to shoot with. Paid $79.95 from Robin in Vegas at BCA.....$50 is a good deal........My scotch doubles partner, a lady who plays from a wheel chair and shoots lights out pool, uses the tad pole and can jump anything she wants from her wheel chair. I am not kidding.....
