Any thoughts on this shaft collar?

Was presented as a Balabushka shaft. Tip diameter is a little thin, but it is well-used.

Gorgeous ivory ferrule. Hard tip. Brass pilot and extremely old linen phenolic and nickel ring, discolored due to age I think.

Worth a trip to Pete for review? I'm hoping someone near me has a Balabushka that can compare this shaft with theirs.

Any thoughts? I'll get the specs ready and get back to you.

No one in this gallery has pictures or experience with cues that have nickel rings and have the linen phenolic that dates back to the early 70s?

Pete Tascarella will not authenticate a shaft in writing, but he may look at it and verbally say it probably is or isn't a Balabushka. Now what you need to do is get a Tascarella cue, as this shaft will fit and the ring work will match.

This pic is of a bushka shaft and yours side by side. Hope it helps
