Sorry. I go to Charleston a lot, really like the waterfront, bars and restaurants but, hasn't been a great pool scene there for a while. You can go talk to or visit a great cue maker (Hurricane Cues) in Mount Pleasant. Its between Charleston and N.Charleston right off of HWY. 17.

I live in Hanahan. There are plenty of nightly tournaments around. Everything is handicapped by your APA handicap. Two Keys off College Park Road in Ladson. North Park bar and Grill ( under new management and new guy running tournaments, or so i heard). A new bar just opened in Goose Creek, not sure the name but I'm pretty sure Bruce is doing tournaments on Friday and Saturday night there. You can always call or stop by Tuckers Billiards on Ashley Phosphate Rd and I'm sure they guys in there will point you in the right direction.

Pretty good advice here. These are all on bar tables fyi and the hanicaps are ball spot (9-ball) of some kind for most of the tournys. Sometimes they start as early as 5pm so you should call in advance for the start time.

Why so early..I'll be driving most of friday would like to rest first....bar tables are fine...I'm a 9 ft player but can hold my own on a smaller table.....I'm only a 7 in the APA ..not looking for games for money just friendly fun...thanks

The Friday tournys should start around 7-8 pm but if you are wanting to play Saturday or Sunday as well I would call early for the start time.

North Park Bar and Grill has been having Friday and Saturday tournaments, run by a guy named Mike Seagraves. He just started doing them at North Park a couple weeks ago; their tournaments were touch and go before that. Tucker's pool room on Ashley Phosphate is harder to find, he has a room with good 9 foot tables and a bar across the parking lot (likely to close soon if not already) that has 7 foot tables. Tournaments don't go on there any more I don't think. Bruce's Bar and Grill just opened up in Goose Creek- again, hard to find if you're not looking for it as he hasn't gotten clearance from the city to put up a sign yet, but he's been running tournaments Friday and Saturday since he opened. Bruce has a really nice place, 6 7 foot tables that play good and when I went it seemed like the tournament crowd has shifted from Tucker's to there. Good luck wherever you go! PM me and I can get you in touch with the 2 tournament directors/owners

what road is Bruce's on ?..and do you have a number?

I have his cell number, but not the business number. Check PM's. Bruce would be the best person to get directions from.
