Any update on Richard Chan?

I talked to Ralf Souquet yesterday during the EC in Willingen, Germany.
Back then Ralf received a mail that Richard had to end his contract with Ralf and X-breaker due to his health situation.
He had liver cancer.
After that Ralf send him several mails for a year long but never got a reply back.
He fears for the worst.
Ralf told me he lived in Canada.
Surely someone could find out over there if he is still alive or that he has past away.
I would like to know.

I would also like to know. Richard was a friend to many here and his input is definitely misssed!

Yikes- I had heard he had something removed from his liver but i didnt know the 'C' word had been used. If anyone has ever met RC, he is an 'up' kinda guy-full of laughs and life. I would never have guessed there was a thing wrong with him. I know you can live with less than half a liver. Les hope they cut it out and he could fully recover.
One thing- AS sick as he was, couldnt he still have at least sold the name to McDermott or Samsara or some outfit in pool? He worked real hard to build that Brand-his product had a great rep internationally IMHO because of this and it just went away-strange but after all this is pool.
