Any V.N.E.A. players on this site?

south dakota had vnea pool league since the nationals started. too bad they banned me for winning three years in a row.:(

We used to play Vnea here in Oregon got spoiled with BCA and the non-smoking venues. Most everyone only wants to go to nationals with BCAPL where they have non-smoking. Many people like VNEA and would play if VNEA became non smoking. VNEA has some great features to it. I think people should try it.

Alot of the players here in my leauge have played both BCA and VNEA and complain about BCA's strict policy on what you can and can not wear. I remember the first time I went to watch some of my players play in the IN state tournament and they would not let me enter unless I took of my hat. Heck I wasnt even playing I was just there to watch and they were giving me grief over it. As far as the non smoking I agree alot of players would like it but alot would not. This year was the first year for a smoking ban in Indianoplis hotels where we held the state tournament and players that had signed up for the tournament dropped out because they had to go outside in a tent and smoke. There are alot of mixed feeling on the subject here.

Hey I agree the relaxed wear at VNEA on a hot summer like day is great, I know that it doesn't help with the image, but I like it. The smoking is different, people’s health is very important and just about every state has come around to the restrictions and new smoking polices. The Surgeon General came out two days ago stating how bad second hand smoke is. There is no denial of this fact. This awareness to some has been the reality to many for years. Smokers don't care about second hand smoke, maybe a very small amount. If people don't want to attend a tournament because they have to go outside only means they have addictions that are uncontrollable. A smoke filled room where you can't breath and your eyes burn those days gratefully are almost gone. The only Big tournament where people still smoke at is the VNEA. The only reason smoking happens at VNEA is because venders and board members sell cigarettes......this was supposed to be short...........
