Anybody out there ever seen a Southwest cue under 19.oz???

Bet that baby is a player!!!!!!!!!!!!

I found the original thread for your enjoyment - it still has pics: http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=123688&highlight=southwest+steele

It says it's a thin shaft, but in reality, the tip is about 12.5mm & is sanded a little thinner just below the ferrule to around 12.2mm, but 6-8" down it is a full shaft. The cue is a monster. The only reason I don't play with it full time is because I don't want to leave a collectable cue in my locker.

Jimmy I'll let you hit balls with mine. Its ebony on ebony and weighs 19.3ozs:eek: Its unheard of. It feels like an 18.7 cue which is also what I like. If you like it you can lighten up the search terms a little, and maybe have a better chance at finding one.
Good luck:grin:

I traded one to Joe Salazar that was an '86 model at 18.6. I sent it to get a letter from Laurie. He has that as well. Alves points in Indian rosewood. That was late last year. He probably has sold it by now, but you might want to try to find out. He lives near Dallas and is a cue dealer.

I know Joe very well. I will give him a call.
