Hi guys was looking to get some advice. I'm currently using a cheap cue thats 58" and weighs 20oz to break with. I do have favourable results with the break however the balance point on the cue is quite far forward so I feel uncomfortable breaking with it.

My feeling is to get a longer cue so I can hold the cue further back but it would still be at a natural balance point.

So...would you care to share your opinion or any experiences using pyramid cues for pool?

I dont understand why the balance point on a break cue is so crucial. If you are gripping to far up on the cue b/c of its balance then dont do that. It just a break cue and not your player, me personally it wouldnt bother me but hey we all have our own wants and needs. Sorry if this didnt help, probably should of stayed off this topic sense Im of no real help, again sorry.

As a side note, all cues will feel diff in someones hands. Only answer you need is find one and try it.....like it and buy it.

Hi don't worry it's a perfectly valid question. I'd always gone on the understanding that the optimal place to hold the break cue was about 6-8inches from the balance point. I just don't get the same break holding the cue back at the end.

The only reason I asked here is because in the UK, they don't sell pyramid cues but I thought with this being mainly a US forum, someone may have been crazy/brave enough to try one. I think I'll just shell out and buy a cheap one for £40 or something :)
