Does anyone out here know of a cue maker or repairman who can modify the weight of a Huebler cue? I have a 20 oz. that I'd like to reduce to 19. I also have an 18 oz. I'd like to raise to 19.
I found the posts about how the Huebler weight bolt is custom machined and epoxied in place. I could probably very carefully remove the bolt from the 20 oz. cue and reduce its weight by 1 oz., but, as was pointed out by others, that will affect the balance of the cue. It also means I could never restore the weight to 20 oz. I would rather replace the bolt. That is especially true for the 18 oz.
I suspect I need to find a maker or repairman who has a stock of Huebler weight bolts and who can replace pre-existing ones. I'm assuming Huebler himself is no longer doing this. Does anyone know of someone who does?
PM me if you know of anyone.
thanks,
richard
