Anyone ever seen Douglas Fir used?

Growing up on the west coast i loved these beautiful trees. I see furniture with them ocasionally, and it doesnt look like a real fancy wood. Just wondered if it was used on cues at all and how it might work. thanks

Still lot's of older houses built with it in the fiftys around here from old growth timber. Awesome construction timber for strength and durability but probably too soft for the likes of a cue. I love the look of it for door frames and furniture etc, truly beautiful wood.
