I need some more 2-1/2" dust hose for the dust box that I recently made to go on My crosslide. I bought what I thought was 10ft from Grizzly, but It was the expandable kind, and I guess I didn't realize that 10' was probably measured with It expanded, because they sent me 3-1/2". The problem is It's great for making the curve at the the dust box, but the rest of it does not stay expanded very easily, so I need some more to be able to tuck My dust collector away so that I'm not tripping over it. To make things worse the piece they sent was slit in 2 different places so I had use a coupler on one section (luckily I had one on hand), and tape the other slit up for now.
I see they have other types, and to be honest just some basic hose will work for now, as long as It's somewhat durable, but If I order anymore I want 10 actual feet, and don't want to be patching holes on a brand new piece of hose. Even just something like the 2-1/2" shop vac hose may work, but would like to keep the cost under 20 bucks or so. Just wondering what other people on a budget use. Just looking for the best bang for the buck I suppose, and a true 10ft piece. This is just for a little portable dust collector, but It seems to fairly work well with this setup.

Thanks Greg

Yeah, the available cheap hose all seems to be "light" duty.

You might search your local CraigsList for "Dust Collector" - I see DC hose of different sizes in my local version from time to time.

Woodcraft just sent out a sale paper with a good price on 2 1/2 in 10 ft pieces of clear, flexible, kink free, wire reinforced dust collection hose on sale for $15.39 a section and they also have a rigid flex kit on sale for $14.99 plus all dust fittings 25% off. The catch is the sale ends May 28th and they have good sales on rosewood and redheart 1 1/2 by 1 1/2 by 18 squares also, hope this helps CC.--Leonard

Try Grizzily, make sure quality is the same, prices vary widely.

Greg it looks like woodcraft has three stores in Florida, Jacksonville, Clearwater and Orlando and only three days left on the sale. As soon as you open there website all the hose and fittings are on top of the page.--Leonard

Sorry guys just editing, the dust hose that I got was actually from grizzly not rockler, that was just a typo.
