anyone have a copy of cannefax charts???

just curious to know
cannefax mentions to use "natural running english BELOW CENTER(my large caps for emphasis)
why BELOW CENTER???
Using draw along with the side increases the side spin to speed ratio of the ball, and some systems work better with more side spin.

I think it's a bad idea for the corner-five (or similar systems) to use other than roughly equal follow and side because if the cue ball doesn't start smooth rolling immediately, the ball will react differently on the first cushion depending on how far it starts from the first cushion. If you're seven feet back, the cue ball will likely have full follow by the time it gets to the rail even if you play with a fair amount of draw but not too hard. If you shoot the same stroke starting six inches from the cushion, you will arrive at the cushion with some draw and the shot will tend to go shorter.

I don't think the Cannefax charts have much if anything beyond the charts in Hoppe, and those are not particularly accurate.

thanks for the explanation bob
having this in my library is great even if its only for historical purposes
like daly's book which i have

.- This is EXACTLY the same Diamond System on Willie Hoppe's book "Billiards as it should be played", only that Hoppe does a way better job explaining it and his diagrams are also better.
