Anyone here ever take lessons from Earl?

The lessons being offered by Earl are one of the best bargains on planet Earth.

Imagine being able to go out and hit some one-on-one with Tiger or Nicklaus, what that might cost.

aint that the truth. The experience alone is priceless.

I would want to know any little things he does (differently) that has allowed him the ability to make shots like he has. - Stance, line-up aiming, whatever, but he fires those very difficult long shots better than anyone in the history of the game.

I would love to take lessons from Earl. I`m planning a trip to New York sometimes next year.
I have heard he only charges $100/hour, is this correct?

He charged my buddy $300 a set for lessons!

took a lesson several years ago (legends & champions tour) with earl & archer. Earl has a mostly different view of the game and if your very good he may be your man. I liked Archers instruction as I am not advanced.

I'm glad I found this thread. I'm going to be travelling to NYC in a few weeks and just called Steinway to see if Earl is available. Since I'm travelling for business, I figured I'd see if I can set up a 2 hour time slot. I should get a confirmation if he's available in the next hour or two. Looking forward to it if it happens.

I get lessons from Robbin Dryer in Oregon and they have paid off more than my cue and deflection shaft. I think if you want to take the game seriously you should invest in lessons more than equipment, because the pay off for lessons will far exceed the equipment. I would love a chance to get a lesson from Earl or just to hang out with him for a hour or two and hear about some of his crazy experiences.

I did, he's a great person wrongly judged by his outspoken frustration of the game, hes a good teacher, and you will improve just by the idea of getting taught by him. he will teach you his way of playing, if you don't want to play like him, you won't learn anything. meaning, you should be willing to think his way, otherwise youll be disappointed

Earn is a great coach, very old school. When there is no stress, his personality shines. You'll learn and you'll have fun. He is good at pointing out flaws and helping you work through them. He is also very analytical, if you haven't noticed from his patterns and cue ball.

Did the same thing about 4 yrs ago in Oklahoma, 4 hrs. Sat. nite demo and challenges with Earl and Johnny. My wife even played partners with Johnny against Earl and another player who paid for the 4 hr. lessons.
That was just Sat. Sunday was 2 hrs of lessons from Johnny and then Earl. Autographs, pictures, small talk whatever were welcome afterwards.
It was a total blast for me and my wife and well worth the money.
