Anyone install a mezz bumper?

Has anyone installed a mezz bumper on one of your own cues? The mezz bumper that allows the user to use an extension. I have an order for a cue with one of these bumpers and would like to know if there is anything special needed to install them? Tools, taps, ext.....? not opinions please, any real info would be appretiated.

we currently use 3/8-16 for our bumper/ hole in the back of the cue.

Hi Bryan, My apologies for the delayed reply. I've been down with a nasty headache that won't disappear. According to Mezz, the Metric Thread Size is M14x2.
