Just curious because I know there are several repeat scammers on this forum who buy and sell - then change their Forum nickname and keep on scamming.

This person is new as of July wants to buy my cue but only with Payoal - I prefer something faster and cheaper and safer for the seller - I've been using Walmart 2 Walmart it's cheaper than PayPal fast and reliable - And if you as a seller have a good reputation on this forum for selling and buying this should not be a problem for anyone to use in my opinion unless they are just too lazy to drive to their local Walmart that has a money center.

I told this person all I would accept is Walmart 2 Walmart and told them to look at my reputation here and other places and that I was the business owner of Action 24/7 Billiard Clothing and that I cannot afford to cheat people. And if they wanted the cue it was theirs but only via Walmart 2 Walmart .

I find it suspicious that they would not go that route but only PayPal and that they are new on here. They have made a short listed good reputation from buying things it looks like but not from selling -

Your thoughts?

wow, if I had to leave work to drive somewhere to make a payment for something I found on-line I'd probably be shopping elsewhere.

Just sayn. call me lazy. What ever, it's my money.

I only deal with PayPal safe secure and insured, but that's only me and my opinion.

I'm open to several types of on-line payments including e-mail money transfer and pay pal.

All depending on the level of trust I have in that specific transaction.

He's the buyer, why are you worried about paypal? You get the $ and then ship the cue.

If I was ready to ship cash to someone for a cue and they only wanted to do some odd form of payment that causes me additional effort, I'd be more worried about you.

If somebody didn't want to use PayPal I might pass, depending on the item and my impression of the seller.

I don't know the person you referenced so I can't comment on them.

Yes that's lazy - lol - I have to drive to ship it - lol just saying

It may be your money but it's my merchandise it goes both ways -

PayPal is great I use it for all
My business transactions but I prefer not to for cues especially selling to a new member on this forum with barely any reputation and only buying reputation -

I think I am maybe over cautious but oh well - I.normally do not question when someone wants to buy but when they are new and only willing to do it their way vs someone who has a established reputations way I get suspicious .

It may cost me a sale but it may also save
Me the hassle of getting scammed by someone .

Maybe you have never dealt with scammers in PayPal before? Once you have then you'll know why I am hesitant . Plus the fees are higher on PayPal than using Walmart 2 Walmart which is not obscure it's well known and very reliable and I am almost positive everyone on this forum in the USA has been to Walmart before lol

I use a Walmart money card, and they offer a service where you can send money to anyone, and if the other person also has a Walmart money card, then they do not even have to go to walmart to pick the money up (it can be transferred directly to their walmart money card account). They do warn you to not send money to a person that you do not know (like either family or friends) though, but if the seller has a good reputation as a seller, then I would trust them by transferring money to their account through my walmart money card. There are also no fees on either side with transferring money through a walmart money card (and the only fee is a $3.00 monthly charge, which gets waived if you deposit at least $500 on to your card in a calendar month). It is a great debit card to use, and they give you a checking account number that can be used to have your employer direct deposit your checks to your walmart money card account. It is a great service I think.

Just a scenario I thought of and have myself encountered (as a buyer).

I want to use a specific credit card to buy something. The seller does not accept my credit card. I leave and look for the item at some other place.

Does that make me a scammer?

If i buy something i am going to use paypal only! You asking for walmart money transfer makes you sound like the scammer. Atleast with paypal i can get a refund if i get ripped off. Never in a million years would i send someone i dont know a moneygram or western union transfer. Im not crazy.

I wouldn't bother to go to Walmart either, no matter what it was. Paypal works pretty good.
If you are uncomfortable, it's your cue and money so do what you feel is right.

:D

Too funny! Now who's the scammer that doesn't like Paypal?

Yep...Walmart is just peachy for the seller.

.

I must be falling behind on times. I have never heard of Walmart to Walmart pay. I must also live in the sticks as the closest Walmart to me is about 30 minutes away and I'm not sure the have a money center. Its very seldom I ever shop at a Walmart.

Either way, as you mentioned, its your merchandise. You have a right to protect yourself from scammers. Good luck with your sale.

If your insinuating I'm a scammer your insinuation is uncalled for - if I was a scammer I for damn sure wouldn't go on the main forum and post my question - my reputation is golden on and off this forum not only with cues but with my billiard clothing business Action 24/7

Paypal is a great service but easily manipulated by those who know how to abuse it which is why I was asking about this specific persons reputation.

I've only bought two cues through AZB. Both from gkloop, who is well known and respected. While I'm 7 miles from a Walmart I would think it pretty strange that a seller would want me to send money that way and I would not do the deal.

With Gene a few clicks and two days later I have a cue.

I have done a lot of deals with large format photo gear over the years and never heard of this.

Walmart is only across the street. But that's why they call it payPAL. Because my pal wouldn't force me to leave the house.
