Anyone Qualified on Two APA Teams Before

I am on two APA eight ball teams in different divisions who are qualified to go to the next level.

The next level is in June in Paducah KY

The way I understand the rules is that I can play for both teams there but if the two teams meet, I have to sit out.

That's probably a good thing as I won't have to choose a side if that happens.

Has anyone gone through this before?

Yep. Technically you do not have to sit out when they meet, you can choose a team. But if you decide to pick a team, then you've also chosen their fate, so if they lose, you can't all of a sudden hop back on the other team. As a result, the recommendation / standard is for the common player(s) to sit out, and thus you can be guaranteed to advance.

You should check with your LO. Sometimes its different. Here if your two teams meet you have to sit out and can not even be around either of the teams.
Other places I have heard lets you choose one of the following...
1- Sit out from both teams like above ...you continue with the winning team
2- you can choose a team but have to go by its fate

Here its fairly common for someone to be on 2 regional teams or for
more than one member to be on two teams. I am on 2 regional 8ball teams
this year myself and was also last year.

in nj you cant shoot on either team if they meet. you can also only have 2 common players. if you have more, you the 3rd common has to choose a team from the start of the event and ride it out.

I Beat U By One

I play 8 ball on 3 different team in 3 different leagues, all APL which is a division of BCA. All 3 of my teams have qualified for the "Cities" or, as u say, the next level, or the regionals. Only real problem is the driving back and forth to home. But, I enjoy going as there is a "Boobie" bar just a couple blocks away. Dancing girls wearing just a very tiny G string. I was surprised to c that the girls are beautiful and very well built. Yummy O yeah, the tournament is great also.
