anyone replace a tip on a mezz power break shaft?

I am thinking about purchasing a power break R shaft and I want to replace the sonic tip it comes with and put a samsara on it. Has anyone done this? Is there a pad under the tip? Thanks.

I had a crack on the ferrule on my Deep Impact shaft from a Mezz Power Break 2 cue.
In our country we don't have cue makers or cue repairs specialist, so I give the shaft to a friend who makes small repairs on cues. He was able to change the ferrule and the tip, with original parts, but he can't handle the pad under the tip, so he glued the Sonic tip directly on ferrule. I'm using the shaft without pad, more than 8 months, without any problems.

I replaced the Sonic tip immediately with a Samsara and loved it. There is a pad under the sonic tip just be careful not to remove it.

I did the exact same. Put a samsara instead of their sonic on it right away. It was just out of control with the phenolic sonic on it. (I have the bk2 and ob rift, and never felt the need to replace the phenolic tip...but felt it had to be done for the mezz powerbreak)
