Anyone see that Blackboar cue on Facebook? Ouch.

Y’all are arguing about this like a bunch of grade schoolers.

“My dad can build a better cue than your dad!”

“Nuh uh, poppa Dennis is way better than your dad!”

Must be nice copying designs out of a book - and using a ton of filler to make it look good. You shouldn't be allowed to even say Searings name
..and Dennis should be ashamed to have you putting his name into this thread. Dennis doesn't need his work used to prove a point, especially when its apples and oranges. I could put up some BB creations and then some of Dennis' but that would not be fair to Dennis at all. The cues are two different styles and he would not dare take on something like a BB build.

When you're a huge fan like him this is what happens.

"ABC cue builder blah blah blah because XYZ cue builder can do better blah blah blah"

You're the one who brought him up

You're the one who brought him up

First time his name came up. LOL

Too easy. I will stop bullying you now.

Why would you put something in writing that can be proven false by just scrolling through the thread? (Post 28) On top of this erroneous statement, you classless nit took a shot at a cuemaker not even involved in the discussion.. (post 36) You're a class act all the way around aren't you?

You open your mouth an idiot comes out every time you say something. Here try this.. try to do something positive that doesn't require you to rip someone else down to make yourself or your best buddy look good. You can't do it, because you have an ego issue that makes you think because Dennis is doing work for you, that makes you some kind of special person.

I am wondering the same thing? How much has to be done by hand for it to be "hand made"? What if the inlay is cut on CNC?

very minor hand sanding of the inlay may be required to achieve naked eye perfection prior to advancing to the execution stage

assumes the equipment is set-up, programmed and maintained properly

I brought his name up as an example of great work, not bringing up cues from 24years ago. I could mention Mobley, Haley, etc

Can you possibly be this stupid?

Before all these cue snobs took shots and start calling me names, I am sure they know that a CNC machine is commonly used by a cue builder. We are not buying these cues based on the CNC program they use or the machine but what a cue builder creates.

It is widely accepted that they use CNC, therefore, the CNC is pretty much equivalent to a carpenter's saw. A CNC machine isn't the deal breaker when it comes to buying a cue. We are not buying the CNC since we are buying the maker.

With that said, yes, pool cues are handmade. You're not paying the machine thousands of dollars. You are paying the builder.

Don't know why I have to explain this to supposed cue "experts".

I guess you're defending Richard's crappy inlay work now? Searing, Mobley, Showman, Haley - none of those guys would let that crap work out of their shop.

Who exactly are you explaining anything to? You're the one who kept saying the machine puts the inlays in for days, I guess you finally read somewhere that that isn't true, then you come back on here acting like you're teaching everybody something 🤣🤣🤣 what a clown

In view of BB's stellar reputation of building high quality, intricate cues the critical question is should subject cue pass inspection and delivered?

Has anyone seen a G. SZAM whose cue building methodology was more labor intensive (albeit not as complex) display this attention to detail?

So Blackboar and now Richard Black is crap.

Gotcha.
I said his inlay work is crap, you have a massive comprehension issue....among other things.

Richard is very creative as are BB cues, the issue is the execution when we've seen from many other builders what is possible.

Twist away little mouse
