Anyone try MEUCCI DEDICATED BREAK CUE ????

Looks like that's Scottish player uses one-
Jason Shaw
anyone else?????

I'd guess any of the players sponsored by Meucci would be using one. Sky Woodward I think is one, can't think of anyone else currently off the top of my head.

I actually miss the old days when if a pro was not using a Meucci they were probably using a Joss.

I actually have tried one before many times. Thing is actually a beast. I liked it so much that I ordered one. While waiting for it to arrive I ended up buying the bkrush. So if I wasn't enjoying and having success with the rush, I would certainly be using the Meucci breaker as my everyday break cue. At 250 you aren't breaking the bank either.

:sorry:

Just another over priced break cue. Does the same thing as a J&J.

This. As a matter of fact I've been using my player and not absolutely killing the rack. More CB control.

I think all of my break cues between me and my son have a total cost of $250, and we have had 4 of them. OK, 3 of them I won in raffles but even counting the cost to buy them, we are at about $250 LOL One was stolen, one was donated, and we have two, only one of which gets used anyway since he is using his playing cue to break with.

Maybe Roberto Gomez

I watched Roberto Gomez play a nine ball match against one of my friends during the Side Pocket Open in Shreveport, LA a few weeks ago. I was sitting on the side of the table where the balls were racked. It was my first time watching a pro play in person. One of the first things I noticed was the sound when the cue ball struck the rack when Roberto broke. It was louder than any break I’d ever heard. It was an absolute solid concussion. It was fascinating. Though I know it has more to do with his break than the cue he was using, I couldn’t help but take note of what the cue looked like. After a little research, I think it could be a Meucci. It looked just like the Meucci break cue and I saw where Roberto plays Meucci cues. I might just have to try it.

Break cues only make sense if you are hitting the rack at a pretty high speed. They do have significant benefits if you can maintain control at high-speeds.

You also need to get a nice rack to get that loud bang sound. I played an A++ player in a tournament and the break was like that, solid, loud, cueball did not move much. Where we were playing in the corner, the thing was like a gunshot next to your ear.

I've been searching all over for an answer to a question I've had and keep getting mixed results. I would really like an all black glossy Meucci cue. And to get one for $255 seems like a great deal. My question is, since it's a breaking cue, will it shoot the same as a regular Meucci cue or is the breaking cue made different? Is the weight distribution going to be the same as their other normal cues. I was told I could order this with a black dot shaft and the price is the same. What are some opinions on this. Thank you.
