I have tried it as I have always liked Q products (even though they are now defunct). I started w Q clean.
I finally bought Q slick and Q glide, as the cue silk product I had worked great on maple shafts but NOT on laminated LD shafts.
I have not tried Renaissance wax, but I can tell you I've tried pure hard carnauba wax (mother's car wax) and soft as well. I have found them not to my liking, and they tend to accumulate dirt rather than repel it after playing some games. Kind of gets "goopy" if there is such a word. LOL
Like u I researched on here and everywhere for info on the "Q slick" and "Glide" but could not find any info.
I have been basically using burnishing papers and leather burnishing to end for the laminated shafts but was impressed by the Q Slick product as compared to basic cue waxes. It is a sealer and goes on light, and it did a good job. The Q glide is even better to follow it up with as 1 drop goes a long way and it is easy to keep in the case. IT seems to work on my LD shafts kind of like cue silk for them.
Compared to using nothing but the above.... and trying other waxes...... I think the Glide is a great product... the slick is a very good product, becuase otherwise my LD shafts do not get any sealant products.. and this works in such capacity, as well as slicking the shaft. BOTH Q products work for my laminated shafts.... But the "Cue Silk" is the best for the money for plain, basic maple shafts for sure. IF you have any other questions just ask.
