Maybe your error in strategy then.
If a guy makes an error/mistake and the rules give you
a strategic advantage, it is not poor sportsmanship
if you use that option, just part of the game.
Like I said, you discuss with your team, you chose
an option you are all happy with.
Not sportsmanship in my opinion, just a nice
gesture amongst fellow league players.
If you felt it would compromise your integrity or
morals to use a rule that gives you an advantage
I don't think it matters what your playing for.
You have to do what is right for you. Or in
this case, your team did what was right for themselves.
I appreciate your perspective but i think too much has been made of the fact that i allowed them to change players . probably my fault but my intention was to bring up it was a factor in the outcome but this thread was also about how my team performed without 2 of our better players.
Our chances would have been a lot better with our other 5 and a very stong 4. My other 5 played very good but lost in his last match to the same guy he beat friday night. It seemed my guy put too much pressure on himself that last match....but i have been guilty of it several times myself lol. My good 3 performed better than i expected and was raised to a 4. Practicing on 9 footers has really helped her game. Now i have to get her to thinking like a 4 instead of a 3....particularly thinking ahead which neither of my other 3's cannot seem to grasp. They are guilty of never thinking about their next shot much less anything past that. I have preached and preached to no avail.....and dont get me started on shooting too hard lol.
Still proud of them though for doing better than i expected.
