APA Brackets Online Anywhere?

They should.... but I don't think online brackets exist.
APA has only recently 'saw the writing on the wall' and invested in online infrastructure and data management. It will be years before they get to something useful like real-time reporting or (gasp!) streaming matches.

They have people available that could make that happen easily.
It is not the ability of the IT department that is holding them up from doing so.
Not really sure why is has not happened though. Real nice to know prior to your trip when/where/who you are playing.

Long time AZ lurker, thought I'd jump in here with my first post. First, some quick background... I've been playing in the APA for nearly a decade, been to Nationals 4 times... 2x for Team, 2x for Singles. I'm transitioning to BCA (still do APA 9ball, for now) and went to BCA Nationals for the first time this year.
I agree online brackets would be nice and a relatively simple thing to do... but I would guess there just isn't enough incentive to do so. When you consider everything the APA is probably worried about, it's an "issue" that probably barely registers on their radar. The old-school paper brackets they use seem to work ok enough for them and as far as I know there's no huge demand for online brackets from the players. Besides, the APA never struck me as a very progressive organization.
That said, I'd rather see the APA create a score-keeping smartphone app. Scorekeeping and the scoresheets are real pain-points for multiple reasons and is low-hanging fruit for improving the league experience. At least scorekeeping is standard across the league (or will be in January), so designing it is a simple matter. And everyone will reap the benefits week-in, week-out. Not just the relative few who go to Nationals. Then again, they seem like they're just now finding their legs with the internet, so I'd guess a smartphone app is a long way off.
