apa coupons for vegas

our area initiated a new program this week.

if you earn a patch you can forgo getting a patch and fill a coupon out . the lo will draw one coupon and the winner will recieve a free trip to the nationals in vegas.

any of you guys area have such a program yet ?

I for go the patches because in two sessions I have a ton of them and it feels like something you give grade school child when he remembers to do his home work lol but what your league is doing is a great idea.

Not expecting it, to be honest. Our LO doesn't give out all the patches available (despite one certain player from my division raising a stink about it) so I wonder if they would recoup the money. Perhaps....we do have 13-14 divisions, I suppose that does add up.

We just get the 8 on the break, 9 on the snap, break and run, rack and run and maybe a couple more...though we don't pay for them.

we have 21 divisions here dub, i play in 3of them. we do not pay for patches either and our lo is great about giving them out. you simply mark on the scoresheet what each player earned each week and the following week they are attached to your scoresheet whih btw is marked by each named who gets what patch.

i have every patch available from apa with the exception of the 9 ball skunk and the grand slam. i cant believe my gf earned a 9 ball skunk, she is a 3 and shut out a 5 in the cities last year 20-0.

i have 2 cigar boxes full of patches but my favorite one are the top gun, singles regionals , mini slam and the - i beat the lo " who is a 7 btw.

i have enough patches, every time i earn one now i will be filling out a coupon for the vegas drawing instead.... unless i earn a 9 ball skunk or a grand slam, i got to have those 2 to complete the entire collection,:smile:

oh yea... a while back our lo was giving out grand slam patches if you turned in the patches required to earn a grand slam. one of my teamates turned some in and got one and asked me if i was going to do the same. i said nah... i would rather earn one playing than have one given to me. it would mean more to me that way.
