What database format does the APA use in their system to store the league information? I was looking to write an interface to extract and display team information for our local APA website.
I did all the coding for the Allegheny County APA website which sports a MySQL database backend. Unfortunately, I was not able to interface with the APA central database which, as far as I know, is not available. Since the league operator for this section is not very computer literate, I built a web-based administration tool for him to manually update standings and input schedules. The biggest drawback is that the initial season setup is a lengthy process as he needs to input the schedules, but after that, it should be fairly minor changes to weekly stats. It helps that the section is small.
It would be really sweet if the APA League Operator software allowed you to export some reports, or datasets to spreadsheet, or even Access for use in a website. I am tired of the myriad APA sites which just post PDF files each week. Bleh. Not sortable, or searchable since they are typically scans of printouts.
