Guys,

Can anybody (from Green Bay or a Wisconsin area close by) tell me if their are weekly pool leagues? I'd like to be able to continue playing league nights while I'm out there for college.

So, could anybody tell me if there are leagues (preferably APA) and if so, can I play weekly even if I'm not 21? I can out here and I'm just wondering if I can in Green Bay as well.

Thanks for any help or information :grin-square:

Brandon Jacoby of Jacoby Custom Cues bought an APA franchise, though I'm not sure what counties in Wisconsin it will cover.

There is a non-alcoholic pool hall in Green Bay called KK Billiards. 1464 Main St, Green Bay, WI, (920) 432-0059. Owners name is Chris Knutson and is a good guy. There are quite a few younger players in the Appleton area, too. Chris recently bought the pool hall in Appleton and I hear he has big plans for it.

You might also want to check out Wisconsin Pool Players Society on Facebook. There are posts all day long there.

Be sure to look into finding a league that sanctions with the Wisconsin State Poolplayers Association. We have a $20,000 guaranteed added singles event in January, and a $15,000 guaranteed added team event I'm March.

If you've decided that you want APA, you're limiting your options.

The ACS is based in Green Bay and has a very nice league system.

There are also BCAPL leagues and VNEA leagues in Wisconsin, and any number of local non-affiliated leagues as well.

I was only saying that I'd prefer to be on the APA - I am definitely not closed minded about it though. I only mentioned APA because I know it's across the nation and I'm not sure what other leagues exist in Geebs.

Thanks for the information - I'll look more into the two leagues you mentioned.

Don't forget to wear your Bears hat to all leagues nights. After some heavy drinking, and some bad rolls on the pool table from your opponents, you will be the MOST "popular" guy in the bar ;)

Done! I let everybody know that I will not be converting to a Packers fan while I'm in Green Bay!

I think Players makes a Bears Logo pool cue.... ;)
