After 11 weeks of this 14 week session the number 1 team dissolves and at least 2 of the players join the second place team. Isn't there something in the rules about when players being added ?

The team that was in first just started this session with only 1 player who had ever played APA. He was left without a team.

Is all this legal? normal? or is this some type of team stacking?

remember I'm not paranoid if their really out to get me :D

This probably varies a lot from League to League but might be covered by a clause in the Local Bylaws about Team Survival allowing teams to add after the 4th week.

It might be different in other cities. Here, you can not add to the roster after week four unless cleared by the LO (because you have 4/5 members). After that, if a team loses too many members to continue, the LO will let you declare double jeopardy and allow to to fill your roster. But, the new members are NOT allowed to play in a Tri-cup or Cities tourny, so what's the point of of even doing DJ?--->$$$$$<---

So what you are saying is that team will not be able to use the new guys during playoffs? or at least in your area

Thanks

Our league operator allows you to add/remove players up to the last 4 weeks of the summer and fall sessions, and for the first 4 weeks of the spring session. It seems to me that if a team dissolves, then it should be put to a vote between the captains of the surviving teams as to whether or not those players would be allowed to be added to the rosters. We've had a few teams drop out over the years and the players mostly just sit on their thumbs or get in a lot of practice time until the next session starts.

What you're saying wouldn't even be allowed at all unless your LO allowed them to join another team that was in jeopardy of quitting due to not enough members. They wouldn't (changing members or new) be allowed to play in ANY tri-cup or Cities tourny at all, in my area. Scroll down to page 4, number 9-Jeopardy>HERE< Ron

Interesting.......why weren't they added to the last place team instead? Seems they could have used the help more.

I guess a lot of the teams in your league do not have full rosters of 8 players. I surprised the 2nd place team had that much room on their roster.

In my league I am allowed to change/add to my roster up to the sixth week of play. I am pretty sure this is all three sessions. When it comes to player eligibilty for the end of session playoffs they need at least 6 matches if they are new player. (4 matches for an established player.)
For the higher level tournaments they have to have at least 10 matches lifetime. So, if this team was new with all new players each player would have to have 6 matches. The question is do they need the matches on the team they were added to?

Our local by-laws say you cant add any players after the 4th week. That sounds fishy to me.

i THINK in our league you can add whenever, but the player has to have 4 weeks to qualify for any "post-season" tournament for that session.
