I have a chance to pick up some Apple Wood. Has anyone worked with it?? Do you know the properties?? Good for cues??

Makes great BBQ, nothing like smoking pig with apple wood in my estimation.

Do you know what kind of apple the wood comes fr,ive seen lots of different ones,some of the nicest have some almost purple centers,almost like lilac,also caragana has some real nice color in the center,dont think any of this stuff is very hard though

A friend has the wood from an abandoned orchard. I would expect there are various types of Apple in it. He has a sawmill and will cut some of it to whatever size I want. I have told him to cut some in 2" boards just in case it moves.
