Applying a cyno finish

It's me again at cuemaker college.
When applying a cyno finish to a cue should I use the thin or medium cyno? Which is better? Does the medium cyno cut down on the number of coats required?
Should I put the cyno on a paper towel and then apply a coat to the wood or do I pour a coat on the turning wood and wipe it smooth with a paper towel. Or do I pour and use a piece of card stock such as a playing card to smooth it out. How many coats are generally applied assuming the cue has been sealed?
Or is there a better method?
One more question. Why do I insist that there is never enough time to do it right when there is always enough time to do it twice. lol

If you do a search you will find a very good post that manwon put up concerning the process, and what he uses to do it. I followed his lead when I messed around with the cyno finish and used thick cyno. Hightowers finishing DVD goes over it as well, and I believe he uses the thin in the video.

I suggest finding manwon's post on it, very good info there. I would also suggest buying the Hightower video, it's $50, but is priceless if you're starting out trying to finish cues. It covers epoxy based, cyno, and spraying cues with auto or water based finishes.

I highly recommend going ahead and buying Chris' dvd and book set. Cheaper that way and a huge source of info. Seems like everytime I watch them I pick up on a little something new I missed before.
