Bump to separate from a duplicate post. Looking forward to kicking this off.

Also looking to organize a 10 ball tour/tournament series in the Oklahoma/Texas/Kansas/Arkansas region. Any tournament directors/pool room operators interested?

South to North, the major cross roads are: Lee Blvd/HWY 7, Gore Blvd, Cache Rd, Rogers Lane

At Lee Blvd/HWY 7 off I-44

SpringHill Suites (580) 248-8500 $109.00

Executive Inn (580) 353-1682 $ 75.00
La Quinta Inn (580) 355-6800 $109.00
Baymont Inn & Suites (580) 353-5581 $

Google “613 SW Sheridan in Lawton, OK”. Click on the result, then click on “Search Nearby” and type in “Hotels”. You’ll see the locations of the hotel in relation to our location. Stay away from the cluster of hotels on Cache Rd near 11th-17th st.

Also, keep in mind that I-44 DOES NOT exit to Cache Rd at this time due to construction. If you are coming from the west, Cache Rd would make sense. If you are coming from the east, north or south, I-44 and Lee or Gore would make sense.

I-44 and Gore as well as the hotels on Cache Rd listed above are all near good restaurants. I-44 and Lee is right by a couple diner-style midnight breakfast joints.

Rates listed above were searched on Hotels.com on Sunday, April 11, 2010 and are not guaranteed rates.

Post or PM me with any further questions.

Us locals will definitely be there, looking for a good turnout! Oh, it is an alternate break format correct?

Alternate Break

Yes, this tournament will be "Alternating Break" format. Thanks for bringing that up, BOB.

Keep 'em coming!

Calling all DFW/Wichita Falls/Ardmore/Amarillo/OKC players

Bump to get the attention of the players who have made this tournament a success in the past....you know who you are!!

I've got a handful coming from Amarillo....what about WF, Ardmore, DFW, OKC.......?

7' Diamonds make for a good tournament
9' Diamonds make for good practice, ring games, etc.

Post questions here or PM me for any information or to let me know to expect you next Saturday.

I have no reason to believe that this tournament won't be a good one. For those of you who have played here before, we hope to see you again. For those of you who have not, come check us out.

I am still looking for some input on interest in a 10 ball tournament. I'm pretty sure that we'll be putting one on in June (May is swamped with our local APA finals covering at least 2 weekends). I don't see why we can't put on a monthly 10 ball tournament. Feel free to chime in with your thoughts.

See you Saturday.

Jeremy

I also wanted to let everyone know who is coming to the tournament, that I am collecting used cell phones to be recycled. The money from this will all be going to Relay For Life in support of the American Cancer Society. Thanks.

What a great group of players!!

Just wanna say thanks to everyone for making the trip! We had a pretty good mix of Oklahomans and Texans for this tournament. Quite a few traveled from Dallas and Amarillo as well as Ardmore and Sherman, TX. We ended up with 32 players resulting in the following:

1) Zacc Russell, Lawton, $400 payout plus $500 Auction
2) Jimmy Davis, Dallas, $250 payout plus $250 Auction
3) Dustin Bishop, Amarillo, $150 payout plus $125 Auction
4) Marco Gagliardi, Lawton, $100 payout plus $60 Auction
5) Jeff Franklin, Sherman, TX, $70 payout
5) Tom Pletcher, OKC, $70 payout
7) Zack Ballas, Dallas, $40 payout
7) Allen Hanson, Lawton, $40 payout

Thanks to Hammerzone for streaming live from Table 1 and staying until the end. I learned a lot from you today. Thanks for being here. When I get the hats, I'll hook you up!

Thanks to Zack for "delivering" the Gilbert.....beautiful cue!

Target tournament will be in June. As of now, the 19th is looking good, but I'll know for sure in a few weeks. This tournament will be a 10 Ball tournament. More details to follow.

Thanks again,

Jeremy
