What's everyone's thoughts on the new set?
Personally I like the big balls to be numbered in the stripe, and white around the numbers on the solids.
Anyone planning on getting a set to try?

It's probably a great set, in quality and for a collector. My first thought is "hmm"

I like having dots on the cue ball, the blue and purple look similar and overal they look kind of old fashioned. But that mightve been their aim.

Again it probably is a great set, but I share your sentiment, Angus.

Yeah, on my monitor, that purple looks mighty blue. Throw in lighting and colorblindness and you could have a frustrating match. In this picture, the 7 is dark enough that it's easy to distinguish, I wonder how it shows up on video. I like how the Predator Arcos balls have the lighter purple. I just wish they'd do something about their 7.

You are right the 2&4 could be hard to distinguish if playing 9 ball. It is nice in the wooden box and simonis liner on the lid.
Anyone heard price point yet?

And the 7 is finally maroon again, as for the 4 ball they should have made a little darker purple. I'm not crazy about the general design but so be it. Brunswick Centennials are still my favorite set of pool balls.

It has to be a sales gimmick to raise capital in an otherwise slow market for Aramith sales.
The colors are excellent but the design appearance leaves a lot to be desired. Personally,
I’d rather get a set of Aramith Tournament Pro Cup pool balls or else Brunswick Centennials.

In my view the design displays a few subtle nods to history, which is appropriate given this is a centenary set.

There is certainly some elements of Raschig and Continental in there to my eye.

Not including that they are the lateat resin formula, they altered the circle around the numbers, moved the position of the number on the stripes, and tweaked the colors a bit. Other then that, they look like a set of Continentals. Not impressed.

I'm really not sure what folks were expecting, maybe super cooling magnetics in each ball so they hover...

At the end of the day, the ball is still a celebration of 100 years of ball design and as a result, they went back and pulled in elements from the classics. So to my eye, I see a mix of Tournament, Crown Standard, and Contential along with throwback colors that they had moved away from.

I love them, the colors are strong, the design elements are minimalist and most of all the return of Oxblood is the highlight!

Seriously these are limited editions and I'm super pleased that most of you are not going to buy them which means more availability for those of us who do want them!
