Aramith or not

Is there a way to tell if my old pool balls are aramith or not as I'm putting new felt on and don't want any ball burns.
And really see the cue is the only thing that could burn the table would I be safe just getting a red dot cue ball by aramith
I'll send pictures of the 2 sets I have later today to see if someone can figure out what brand they could possibly be

I have Super Aramith Pro balls with the Aramith measles cue ball and new 860HR. I still get ball burns. They are less noticeable than with my old cheap cue ball though.

If you never want to see any ball burns on a pool table, just play 14.1 Continuous for the rest of your life...

ANY ball will leave marks. Some just leave less. Hi-end balls have a higher phenolic content and generally leave fewer marks. Been hearing good things about the Dynasphere balls.

I would get an Aramith red circle cue ball. The Aramith red dot cue ball if that’s what you mean, is a much cheaper ball at less than half the price of the red circle ball. If you have the red circle ball, then you should be fine. I don’t know if the red circle vs red dot would make any difference regarding burn marks on your new cloth, but it would be a better quality ball to play with.

Yeah I meant the red circle ⭕ one. It's like $25 the ball sets that I have I believe the 1 aramith but I'm not sure and the other is some off brand but it has been holding up good. I would love to get all new atamith balls but I hear the low end ones suck so I would need at least the 150 set. But could I get away with a cheaper brand ball on the numbers and get a good aramith cue.

So could I get away with cheaper number balls or just keep useing what I have and get a good cue ball. That would minimize ball burns enough wouldn't it or do I have to have all real good balls witch is what I want but can't really afford them right now. What would your advice be. As I'll have brand new 860 cloth on fairly soon and don't want to mess it up

Those look like Aramith Crown set. They are Aramith standered ball set and sell new for around $125. They are a decent set , I really like them. The Best Cue ball is the Aramith red logo super phenolic. It is not much higher than the red circle and will not leave burn marks as long as your cloth is not cheap or you do something stupid like hammer down on the Cb. I also hear that the Tungsten Dynasphere balls set are Bomb and for around $60-70 bux from eBay you can get a set.

So I should get the aramith red logo cue ball and Dynasphere number balls. As my set is getting to where you can feel the numbers a little. I'm going to try to get the aramith premium set but don't know if I have the $ for those right now

No need for the aramith cueball if you go dynasphere, the cueball (and the other balls) that comes with the set is super high quality.

Edit: You asked about the tungsten set. They play great, as in among the best balls I've ever played with great, but after 6 months plus I'm still getting used to the colors. For the money it's pretty easy to overlook that they are a bit ugly. One of the best purchases I've ever made.

The dynasphere balls use better resin than the aramith premium set. To get equal or better quality you have to compare to the Aramith duramith balls.

I had a conversation with Simonis regarding burn marks
in summary 760 more likely to get burn marks than 860
using wax to polish the balls also adds to more likely to get burn marks

No , if you get the Dynasphere balls the cue ball is higher resin also so no need to buy the Aramith one. The Tungsten set has some ugly colors but for the price you can overlook that. A super Phenolic ball set for around 60-70 bux I don’t see how you can go wrong and you can try them out and see if you like them and not be out to much. I believe you will love them. Everybody else seems to.
