Arcos II or Tournament Black

IMO, no serious pool player would ever consider any ball set other than Aramith super pro, Aramith tournament, or Brunswick centennial.

Excellent! As a personal matter, I would list the Aramith Tournament and the Brunswick Centennial as my top choices, but for the pool ball enthusiast who has about $350.00 to spend and already has a set of Centennials, et al., what would an active player who likes trendy equipment spend his money on?

I guess I’m the wrong person to ask. I would never consider playing with trendy pool balls even if they were given to me brand new. For very little more $ than that, invest in a trendy quality carbon fiber shaft which could be a difference maker in your game!

Just for reference, I have a brand new set of Tournament TV and a set of the Tungsten. I only have an hour on the Tungsten balls so I can’t compare them yet

Just checked them out and they are not a bad looking set of balls. However, for $80 retail how good do you think they can really be? Yes I know, I qualify as a snob.

They carry the same tolerances as every other set in the line. They are just as good as the top of the line set of dynaspheres.

I own and play a set of Arcos II's, Tournament Black, Centennials, Elephant Beautiful (Swirl). I already had the swirl, centennial, and Arcos set. I wanted a set of Tournament and decided to go with the Black set because I already had several traditional sets. I actually really like them. Nice change of pace and, of course, they play perfectly.

I have the Tungsten set. Got them for Christmas last year. I really enjoy them and have had zero problems. Very clean and sharp looking ball set

You can forget about the black, ugliest balls I’ve ever seen. If I was given a set as a gift, I’d still get rid of them ASAP. The Arcos2 look pretty nice. They kinda look like a modern version of the Centennial.
How much you want for them?

As a collector, these are my two least favorite sets. Personally, I think the Blacks are ugly and I'm not a purist by any means when it comes to pool ball colors. I do not care for the Predator logo on the Arcos II's. If I were selecting the lessor of two evils (in my mind) I'd probably go for the Arcos II's. I like the font and the 3 dart design despite the cat logo. Playability should be on par with both sets seeing as they are both manufactured by Saluc.
