Are Inlays allowed?...

Hello fellow azers!
Just returned recently from Florence of Italy, one of the most inspiring and beautiful places in the world.
It gives me the inspiration of bringing up a subject to discussion that might interest you.
Are we allowed to add inlays in a high end custom cue?
As top az members inform me, most of the great cuemakers will not add inlays to their cues after they are done. If you want a cue from them, inlayed or not you have to wait for years and even if you find a "simple" of their cues through a collector they will not add inlays..
The cue belongs to you, but do you have the right to do what you want with it in any way, through anyone?
I mentioned Florence in purpose, because I came in touch with art creations of the greatest artists of all time, and there are a lot of occasions where one great artist interfered with the work of another great artist..
What do you think?

I think once it is paid for you can whittle it, cook it, or do anything else you want to do with it.
 
Stur soup with it , start fires with it, break heads with it,

I will tell you this ! You take a high end cue and have someone else put inlays in it . You've decreased the value as much as 70%-90% so think about real hard before you do ! ;)
