Are talented filipinos "Under-Acheving" ??

Pagulayan (credit to PI and CAN) was 28 when he won the World 9-Ball in 2004.
Amit was 27 when she won the World 10-Ball in 2009.
Centeno was 16 when she won the World 9-Ball for juniors in 2015.

[P.S. Wu was 16 (not 15) when he won the World 9-Ball in 2005.]

Alex was of filipino heritage but grew mainly in canada, he was a ex snooker player who honed his game himself hustling with corey duel , so i"ll consider him canadian but thay counts.

None of the pinoy male pros actually won anything major before their 30's or even won anything prestigious for the past 10 years where it seems like the taiwanese n europeans are dominating consistently.

I was talking about male filipino pros , was was 15 turning 16 that year he won the world 9ball.

But anyway u made a good point , seems like tthe women pinoy pros are acheiving more than their male counterparts.

Cheska is an exceptional talent and i think shes gonna be phenomenal if she keeps putting in the work

I'm still waiting for Jeffrey Ignacio to really hit his stride internationally. He's got to be one of the most naturally talented players to ever wield a cue.

Yes sir, the cobra ( his nickname ) is one of my fav players as he just makes the game look so easy when he's playing well , just as if he flipped on a auto-pilot switch.

However a few filipino pros told me his downside is his weak heart , he cant seem to withstand pressure tje game is close and always dog the easy shots which i've also witness a few times.

... was was 15 turning 16 that year he won the world 9ball. ...

If you have better information on these dates and the age calculation, please let me know.

Wu was born Feb. 9, 1989.

The 2005 WPA World 9-Ball Championship ended on July 10, 2005.

So his age when he won that event was approximately 16 years and 5 months.

This was an historical occasion in pool -- youngest person ever to win that event.
