I'm in the process of starting an 8 Ball tour in Oklahoma. Nothing big, just traveling to some of the nicer bars and taverns here in Oklahoma. I just want to promote our sport in everyway I can think of.
Just wondering if I'm flooding the already saturated market of tours or is
there room for one more?

Too many? Would be nice to have one in the Pacific NW.. I think we've got like 1 pechauer stop or something here in Portland.

I don't think any local tour would be out of line. A state wide tour or even a city wide tour would be a great idea, especially if it was tied to an existing state or city league system. You tour might not help me here in Iowa, but it might be a huge sucess in Oklahoma for your locals. I have thought of this same idea and suggested it but it fell upon deaf ears. I guess others know better than me...or maybe they were just to lazy to get it going.

I thought you had to quit the Southwest 10-ball Tour due to personal time demands or whatnot; and now you're starting a new 8-ball tour?

I would love to see more tours, absolutely, but I gotta ask what makes you think this will work this time?

Banks, when is that tour stop in Portland? I would like to go but never heard of it. (not trying to hijack post) IMHO I feel there are not enough tours out there.

Hmm.. was poking around and found:

Lucasi Hybrid All-American Tour - got the memorial tournament at Nighthawk, April 8-10, $50.

A couple of years back it was the Pechauer All-American.. I guess they must've changed it over.

Well I took Hillbilly on as a partner and they have helped me out a lot but the problem with that tour was the room owners weren't doing there part to advertise.
With starting something statewide I have the support of all the league operators as long as I don't conflict with their league nights and functions.
Plus I can get better sponsorship when the local businesses can benefit more.
Any bar that has four or more tables can host a tournament. But therir tables have to be in good shape and they must all be consistent with eachother.
