Ordered play cue, break cue, jump cue, all custom designed by myself from Brandon Jacoby, lead time 6 months. Its been 7-1/2 months should i be concerned, or just be patient? did i make a good choice?

We cuemakers just give esimates on time frame and are notorious for under estimating the time it will take us to complete. Jacoby is a good choice. But really you should just call them and ask for an update.

If someone doesn't keep their word , what good are they . Some cue makers make you wait years , and don't care if you buy the cue because it's worth more when it's done than when you ordered . Action speaks louder than words !!! Excuses never get the job done , and any cue maker that gives one indicates that they aren't getting the job done . Yep , with some cue makers you have to accept their lack of integrity and there are others who are willing to give prompt , quality service . Good luck with your transaction . ;)

Thank you for your enlightenment and support to the industry. I had absolutely no idea.

What is your lead time sir and if you don't make the deadline...is it free?

I see you have at least a couple of cues for sale.....AS IS.

Does that mean once your customer has it, you don't want to hear them complain if it isn't up to their expectations?

I'm not trying to be malicious, but you are making a pretty bold statement.

Back To the OP's question.....it depends on whether you've had any intermediary conversations with Jacoby since placing the order. If so, what has been mentioned?
It sounds like you haven't and so I wouldn't be concerned. My cue was estimated to be finished in March 2014 on an order placed July 2013.

I received my cue Memorial Day weekend but I had been conversing with Bob Owen throughout the cue build so it didn't come a big surprise to me and I was never
concerned about it at any time whatsoever because Bob and I remained in close touch........doesn't sound like you've done that with your cue......better start right now.

Im sure your formula/method of cue building eliminates the need to " do it right" but slap it together and just get it out the door. I have been missing it all these years, rush like hell...got it.
