LL Bean camp mocs...take out the original insole, add gellin'. Works great around the house for me...never thought of playing pool in them. Now thinking I'll give it a try.
I often play pool in my piloti shoes, find them comfortable. My Bullitt Mustang is a 5 speed, and these are great for heel & toe work. (car guys here will understand heel & toe...those who don't? Don't worry about it!)
A driving shoe, but with good arch support and padding, very well made.

(edit) Might also looked into the padded mats stores use for cashiers who must be on their feet all day...a ring of those around the table may be helpful.
