I was just there last week (Scottsdale) but I was there on business with no time to shoot. Damn it's hot, lol! 107 degrees is damn hot, "dry heat" or no.
Oddly you do kind of get used to it. I am at 3500 ft elevation so 10-15 degrees cooler but lots of 102. When I moved here from CA I hated the heat and felt I could dress for the cold. In the winter it gets cold here. We even get snow. Now, 102 is fine but 28 degrees in the wind is unbearable.
They say the blood "thins out". I don't know if that is true. I think I am just getting OLD.:wink:
I went to Vegas a few years ago for apa nationals. It was my first time out west and it was in August.
We got our home put out early and decided to stay a few days. My old Injuries loved the dry heat while every one else complained
We went to Hoover damn and I can't imagine any place being hotter than that by t death valley. My girlfriend at the time turned into a lobster real quick but although there t was hot to me also it was not unbearable like it was to the rest of the players with us.
We went to the grand canyon the next day and again every one complained about the heat except me.. Makes me want to move from Memphis...my old injuries cant stand cold
