Asian 9-ball Tour - Vietnam Leg Results

Pagulayan, Manalo, Wu , Chao and Yang were all eliminated by Vietnam players. We can expect vietnam players will be the most terrible opponents of Taiwan and Philippines in asia in the future.

NGUYEN Phuc-Long (Vietnam) 9:7 Yang Ching-Shun
REYES 9:5 BUSTAMANTE
WANG Hung-Hsiang (TPE) 9:5 NGUYEN Phuong Thao (Vietnam)
XU Meng (China) 9:5 LI He-Wen(China)

Semi-final Game 1 result

LI He-Wen(China) 11:4 WANG Hung-Hsiang (TPE)

Wang was the clear favorite before the match, but was a big disappointment.

Li on the other hand makes it to the finals and the first time ever for a China player to get into the finals in the Asian 9-Ball Tour.

Efren plays Nguyen in the other Semis right now.

with the score Efren 9-3Nguyen now, looks like Efren will be in the final..

Semi-finals Games.

NGUYEN Phuc-Long (Vietnam) 5:11 Efren Reyes (Phil)

It's Reyes and Li for the finals.

Well done by the 2 Chinese Mainland players Li He Wen and Xu Meng for 2nd and 5th placings respectively. Both performances set records for Chinese Mainlanders on the men's international pool scene.

Could be a sign of things to come.

Thanks for all the updates BlowFish, liekdi, and kidrock!

At the end of last year I mentioned that Efren would be the player to watch in 2006 because of his new set of eyes. Don't count Efren out in 9 ball people.

And Colin, I agree that this does look very promising for the mainland Chinese. If pool ever becomes as popular in China as it is in Taiwan, then the statistics say that they'll eventually take over the entire pool world! Kinda scary.
