ATTENTION! This thread is a few years old.

So, did we ever get an answer to this question? Did you check with Karen Corr about whether or not she had indeed been to 30 or more instructors? I went through the entire 11 pages of this thread and didnt see an answer. I am very curious here.

These questions/issues were all discussed on the 1st page of this thread. Shouldnt be too hard to get a handle on this.

you should be practicing not reading 11 pages of a 6 year old thread and ask a question that makes no real difference to your or anyone elses game

Karen and other pros lived together communally at times. They constantly coached, encouraged and instructed one another. Coaching is a good thing.

How many instructors have brought your game to the level where it is today?
 
Well, I have only been to, lets see.......six instructors. And I get zinged by people on here for going to so many. They say I should know it all by now. But if Karen Corr has had 30 instructors then perhaps I need to see a few more.

Maybe that one little nugget of info from a new or different instructor could really help one's game.

You might also want to ask yourself this question, and I'm serious.

"Will instructors see me knowing how I carry myself?"

Before you jump off the rails with you don't do anything wrong or 75% of people don't know what they are talking about.

Understand you have alienated a HUGE number of people with your attitude and as Denny Crane's psychologist said "I charge you double in the hopes that you quit coming to see me, but you keep paying." You might not have enough money to keep paying the people who will see you.

I always encourage students to seek out different instructors so they can possibly get another perspective, pick up something different that will help their game. When you find that instructor that fits you is important. Scott Lee told me during my first lesson with him to seek out other instructors, I was fortunate to have Mark Wilson close by, I have taken a few lessons from him even after I became an instructor so I could fix a problem I couldn't identify and to get a different perspective on how to teach pool in general.

I have read a lot of your post and I have often thought that you have not met the instructor that is right for you. Good luck in your search.
