Asking for an autograph

Former trick shot champ Mike Massey travels around to halls with a box of cue balls which he signs for $10 a pop. He also charges $10 to play a rack of 8 ball against him (and sells and raffles cues). But this is part of how he makes his living now so I don't begrudge him.

One thing that makes autograph collecting for free difficult whatever the sport, etc., is when the celebrity in question starts seeing his autograph on Ebay for outrageous prices.

I'll sell my autograph for only a buck. I once had 15 minutes of fame so that should make it a fair price. Mitch

I was trying to track down Earl to get him to sign a picture I have.
This was at the Open. I found him in the bleachers with Corey and another guy.
I stood by the bleachers waiting and just listening to the conversation.
(I could listen to them all day long)
It was mostly Earl of course lol. "I ran 5 miles today!" Corey: "Well I ran 8 Earl" and on and on......
Loved it!

autographs

I think you will find 99 % of all Top players don't have a problem asking them for Autographs, I would have said 100 %, but there is always that one player that bucks the system. If you respect their space, I think they are more then happy to give you an autograph.....Just ask at the right time, and you will get the autograph..
