At what point do you think it's adventagious to learn to jump?

I don't jump a lot - but i do have a jump break. I mainly use it for close shots where another ball is partially blocking and I can easily jump the side and pocket a close object ball. TO not have that and to kick to a rail and back I think is leaving $ on the table, assuming jumping is allowed.

It is a good tool to have. There are times in a game where the jump is statistically better than the kick. Meaning making the ball is a high probability jumping that kicking. There will be times where your opponent safes you and you only have a jump. Learning all aspects of the game with help you out.

Thanks for all the reply's. I've been gone camping and fishing and waited until I got home to order a cue. I decided on a Jacoby black. I'm going to order from Seyberts today.
