Athens(Atlanta) UPA Tourney

I haven't even gotten to the US Open yet & I'm already talking about Athens/Atlanta! :rolleyes: I had to buy now before I passed the 14 day mark & the ticket goes up for a gawd awful amount.

I'm booked & good to go, I was just wondering who else on here is planning on going?? I know DM & Scott have discussed being there... Are ya'll still coming out to it? MJ, you'll be in the area.... you going to stop by?

Tims, I will be at the open Fri but I wont make Athens. I have a gig at JOB's in Nashville on the 15th & 16th then I will be at the POOL ROOM in Duluth which is about 50 minutes away from Athens.

Are you gonna come to Duluth?

Yep, I'm planning to attend. I don't know exactly which days yet, though.

You and I will absolutely blow away the field in the scotch-doubles competition . . . . . beer drinking, that is! :p :D

Yeah, since the finals are on Sunday, I guess little Marissa will be sleeping under the feature table for a couple of nights. :p

I would love to but I've got one of those pesky little things people call a "job" and the assholes expect me there on Mon. :rolleyes: I'm off to the Open!! WOOHOO!!!

I love sleeping under the tables at Murphy's. The last time I was there they rolled me under one for a few hours. I recommend under table #6. It hides the light just right and if you keep one eye open you can get a good view of the room and not get the spins.

Seeing you at Murphy's when you got back from downtown the last time Viking was in Athens was priceless. Your jaws had to be sore for a week from grinning so much that night.

I barely remember the experience. What I do recall is introducing myself to a short round garbage can and then having the owners daughters boyfriend waking me up from under a pool table and giving me a lift to my hotel at 5am. The next day I was still in the winners bracket but had to forfeit my matches because the room wouldn't stop spinning and everytime I got down to shoot I would get sick.

It's all Big Nasty's and Bruce Berrongs fault. They spiked my Coka-Cola with Rum. And lots of it.

Back to the subject... I highly recommend everyone going to Murphy's in Athens. The room is excellent, the people are AWESOME and the UPA Pros are gonna give you a good show. Please make sure you SUPPORT YOUR SPORT and go and have a good time at the UPA event at Murphy's.
