Atilla wins Mezz West State Tour Stop #9!

The final match in this tournament was the greatest thing in pool that I've seen in a very long time. After Scott Frost was relegated to a 3rd place finish, all pressure and tension seemed to vanish. It was as if Atilla and Vilmos didn't care which ended up in first place; they just relaxed and put on a super-speed break-and-run clinic. They both broke like monsters in the alternating break format, and if either of them got out of position at any time, they would simply, and unhesitatingly, make a spectacular shot to keep their run going and win the game. It only took a little over thirty minutes for them to reach the final score of 8-7!

It's too bad all matches in all tournaments can't be that fast and loose. If they were, pool would be much more entertaining.

Congrats to Atilla on the win, and Vilmos on the runner up. Both of which are fine players and peoples.
