I just finished scanning 288 negatives of shots taken at the Reds tournaments in the 1982-1984 period. The photos were taken by Mike Haines. This shot really gives a feel for the atmosphere of the tournament. If you were there, this image will probably take you back in time.

Great pic!!!!

Bill thanks again for posting these.
On June 1, Mike Haines and I will open a gallery on Smugmug that will have about 200 images from the old Reds tournaments. I have finished scanning the almost 300 negatives Mike sent me and will soon start on a few 35mm slides. We are thinking of dividing the images into two categories; posed/casual shots and action shots. Thanks for your interest!

Yes, on June 1 we will "unveil" about 200 images from the old days at the Red's tournaments in Houston, Texas (1982-1984) and also about 75 images of the 2006 DCC and Hall of Fame dinner sent to me by Ed Fields. It will be interesting to see whether there is more interest in the old photos or the newer ones. The photo site we use (Smugmug) allows you to track the number of hits on every image in every gallery. It might be kind of fun to post on AZ the images that are getting the most (and the least?) attention. Anyway, we will probably close down all of our other pool photo galleries when we open up the ones for Reds and 2006 DCC. I have only the standard membership at Smugmug and am limited to 6 GB of traffic per month. At this moment, we are at 5.32 GB for the month of May. That's why we haven't openned up Ed Fields DCC 2006 gallery yet.

Thanks for your interest!:)

Looking forward to them. I played in those tournaments, maybe I will catch a glimpse of my younger self.
