Attitudes

I can definitely see the relevance about attitude and how it would relate to pool or anything else in life for that matter.

I despise religion in any way shape or form but I don't hold anything against anyone else who feels they need religion in their lives, I personally don't is all.

9BallPaul needs to chill.

My $.02. Keep the change. :D

So it looks like, if you put on the glasses and look at Neil, his message would say "Posts non-pool topics in a pool forum". He's going to hell on that one I'm sure ;-) It's all good people, nothing bad will happen if this is here. Heck, he could be posting this because of some of my topics and he has every right to, and should have the respect from us to let him. If you disagree, dr-rep him or click on another link. At the same time, the poeple who are stating this is a pool area and stick to pool also have a point, that's the issue with free will eh? Not a single answer for all of us, which is why we have multiple political parties, and both McD and Burger King can sell tons of burgers.

That's not pool related... it's EVERYTHING related (which includes pool :D).

Great video! Thanks Neil!! :)

This is an ad prepared by a Christian church. Why it's posted in this forum isn't clear to me, or to any clear thinking person. I keep my religious views to myself, and wish others would do likewise.

As our politicians on TV like to say "I approved this message". It's exactly right, you need to see the other side before you can make a sound judgement on anything, which is what the video points out. The only person that thinks everything is about you, is you.

Darn! I wasted my time reading your signature...it's not pool related.

My point is pretty simple: Keep the pool forum for posts about pool. Plenty of other forums for extraneous topics.

I wasted time on that video waiting for its relevance to pool. You think it has some. I don't. We disagree. So what?

Keep religion out of pool -- and out of the pool forum. Why is this hard?

You feel better now?

I'll keep a watch out for you on the threads that promote drugs, smoking, cheating, gambling, politics and other stuff we routinely discuss and banter about here to see if you're a hater on those threads also.

I saw the video and never saw a church ad or a promo of any denomination.

And I can't avoid this gem either...."or any other clear thinking person."
So, if a person has a faith, or wants to better themselves, or they want to help others, you get all pi$$y and you find that greatly offensive, right?
With the self-flattering implication that YOU ARE a "clear thinking person."
Get over yourself already, God and anybodies faith is more important than your fragile feelings.

I for one am glad, VERY GLAD, you keep your religious views to yourself.

And one for the road. I'm curious about "your religious views". We'll probably never know since you keep that a big secret, but where in the bible does it say to keep your religious views to yourself? Let me guess, you never read it OR you read it and now, as a self proclaimed authority on religion, you'll proclaim you don't believe in the bible either.
Rep to you Terry! I only wish I could have said that. Well said and there may be hope for us afterall. Philw

Nice video. I'm vehemently anti-organized religion, but I saw no religious overtones in this video at all. Just a message to get you to try and stand in other peoples' shoes before flying off the handle.

I'm not a very patient person, but I'll try and do better!

By the way, sjm is a real voice of restraint, calm, and reason on AZbilliards (the type that probably wears those figurative glasses more than most). Anybody heard from him lately? Hopefully he's just on vacation and everything's ok.

You People are Preposterous

Where, exactly, did I endorse drugs, sex, violence or anything else -- anything other than leaving the pool forums for discussion of pool?

Must be a very long winter wherever you're posting from. Even so, you need to chill. Pool is pool. Religion is religion. Keep them separate.

Why is that hard?

WOW!

Some times people post on here when they have had a bad day, and need to vent. This seems to be occurring more lately than in the past. I was HOPING the message in the video might get through to people, and cut people some slack on some of the not so great post after thinking for a minute on their post history. Rather than having a post turn into a 'bit..' session.

Also, the same venting thing happens a lot in the pool rooms. Few people really take the game very seriously. It's a vent for them, and sometimes it shows. The video showed one way to deal with it.

These two things make it pool related. Life related, not church related ,other than thinking about others.

Sorry this has caused a small tempest, the goal was the opposite. I'm glad some got the message though.
You have nothing to apologize for. Great post I thought. And Neil just
be glad you don't have to look at some of your detractors through
those "enlightening glasses"! They would probably be labled;
NARROW MINDED,SHORT SIGHTED IDIOT, SADDLED WITH MAJOR
INSECURITIES!!!!
