I have an old 9' pool table that was made around 1900 I am told.
The name plate seems to be the same shape as a brunswick from 188? to 1906.The name on the plate is Rosatto Barry Street Co.
I have been looking for info on the company and the table for months on the internet, librarys, book stors and 3 fourms. the only responce was to send a picture to some one but the table is not together.
Any help would be apreacited.

Try and contact Mark and Connie Stellinga, they are antique billiard collectors/dealers for 28yrs, have a column in Inside Pool, their book "Pool & Billiard Collectibles", and their website at

http://www.billiard-antiques.com

Blurb at the bottom of the page says they have restored nearly 250 antique tables. If they can't help, nobody can.

Dear Bob,
Rosatto Barry tables were made in Philadelphia, Pa. They are very well made, similar to the Gold Crown size by Brunswick.
Blatt Billiards on Broadway, N.Y.C. has been restoring for many years and could certainly be helpful. See their web site for contact info.

Bob, I answered another message on CCB regarding this table. In short, Many years ago all of the pool table manufacturers used to replace any name plates on pool tables with their own, whenever they had a table in on trade in. Also a lot of the service companies had name plate replacements made up that they would install on any tables that went through their company. I've see dozens of tables that had this done when I was in the service business.

Changed name plates

Sherm
Thank you for the info.
The more information I get the more I think I have a Brunswick table with a changed plate, eispecially since the plate is the same shape as a brunswick of that time period.
