Australian Goldfields Open 2012

Livesport.tv broadcast starting stupidly

It appears that things are starting stupidly with the broadcast of this event. At the beginning color bars appeared sporadically, the screen would go green, and now the only that can be watched is an extremely long distant view of players on both tables, and there seems to be no way to actually specifiy which table I wish to watch up close.

Right now this situation sucks, and I dont know how to go about reporting the problems to those currently responsible for the broadcast, or even find out if there is any effort to improve on the current situation, or find out when the current problem is to be fixed.

Well at this point the live broadcast is completely off the air. And I cant find any notice regarding the problem on the world snooker websites. The situation sucks.

Just dropped on Australian Goldfields through haha, couldn't get into sportlemon.

Neil Robertson in the first four frames scored approximately 420 points - two centuries.
Nigel Bond scored exactly 1.

Sportlemon

Something is happening with the Sportlemon site.I tried to view the 6reds tournament a few times and my computer shut down.I didn't know what was up but the same thing happened again when I tried to view the Australian Goldfields tournament.Everything is cool for 40 minutes to an hour or so then my computer shuts down, anybody else getting the same computer trouble ?:frown:

Ricky Walden goes out but at least he can celebrate his Wuxi Classic tournament win with a few beers or whatever.Alan 'Angles' McManus won his wildcard round.I'm wondering if he is still using the same cue with the yellow tape holding it together in the middle.:)

When Neil Robertson won the World Title...

A few years ago my son Andrew worked in Aviemore at a Ski resort and he went boozing with Nathan who was a backpacking Australian who worked at the same resort.I was asked if I could put them up now and again so when Nathan passed the tests I said alright then so they based here for Nathans sight seeing trips around the country.

I would ask Nathan about Snooker/Pool etc in Australia and he would just laugh and say that back home they play Aussie rules/Rugby etc and Snooker/Pool were games they played at the end of the night out in the city.I asked him about the local paper he said Sydney Morning Herald was worth a read and I have given it a glance ever since.

When Neil Robertson won the World Title I read this :

http://www.smh.com.au/sport/pot-ble...as-it-just-found-its-pulse-20100506-ubp5.html

What would Eddie Charlton think about that one ?

Two years later Neil Robertson says this :

I hope Neil is right and I have viewed The Australian Pool on UStreams so maybe the Snooker/Pool is making a comeback there. What do you all think ?

You can watch all the snooker events here: http://www.worldsnooker.livesport.tv

That is the official site and it only costs 5 bucks a month. I hope people do their part to support the sport.

So far, the Australian open has been disappointing as far as the crowd is concerned. It fees like someone died in there :(

I finally got my technical problems with livesport.tv taken care of with their tech support help. I am finally able to enjoy watching the matches. The monthly fee that livesport.tv charges to enjoy monthly live snooker matches is one of the best pool values anywhere. I dont see cancelling that anytime soon as long as I no longer have any serious tech issues from event to event.

Sportlemon running OK today.

LiveWorlSnooker is great ... but it is a real glutton on download capacity - 650, or 300 if you ISP restricts.

So you could get hit with fat excess usage charges if you use it a lot.

Ali "Captain" Carter

I read this one earlier :

http://www.sportinglife.com/snooker/news/article/24970/7888065/early-exit

I had to laugh when Ali said ,"I don't really enjoy the travelling to be honest." etc etc.Well they call Ali The Captain as he has a pilot license and owns a Cessna plane but now he says he doesn't enjoy travelling. There can't be many pilots who don't like to travel.Maybe it's an Airfix model Cessna plane he owns.:)

Right. What if he won the tournament? "I really enjoy travelling to Australia. It's such a great country. Great fans, great support. Looking forward to defending the title next year."

World number 1 Mark Selby goes out :

I haven't seen Alan "Angles" Mc Manus play for so long I can't remember the last time he was on screen so I took in his match with Ding Junhui :

http://www.bendigoadvertiser.com.au...o-next-round-at-snooker-showdown/2621754.aspx

Mc Manus minus magic yellow tape on his cue.
Sat and watched Ding play as he should always do.
Junhui chalked up a win 5 to goose.
Now Alan Mc Manus flies back to his hoose.
It was a long way to go to just to get deuced.

:wink::smile::grin:
