Auto tip centering device for lathe

I've been working on a device to make it easier to install tips. I designed a part with a spring loaded aperture to center any tip up to 16mm. It has an adjustable stop to set the depth the tip stick out. It also has a couple of bearing so you can rotate it while wiping excess super glue off. It will work in a 3/8 chuck.

Good idea, but it ;looks like you put a lot of time in to making that i made one out of a piece of Delrin. I made the opening slightly under 14mmm and the stem @ 1/2 inch holds the the tip snug , glue doesn't stick to it. I've been using it for years

I remember one of the skilled machinist members on here had made something similar a long time ago. I think people liked them but maybe they were too labor intensive or costly for him to keep building, I can't remember. If you can 3d print and make them at a good price you could probably sell a lot of them.
